The first month of 2017 is almost over and it has been nearly a roller coaster time in my life. I had not been so busy and so occupied in my life before. But I’m totally in love with this phase. Have so and so plans for the year ahead but I don’t think we execute even fifty percent of what we have planned. So plans apart, I’m going to embrace everything the way it comes and make the most out of it.
Oh! And I can’t forget to thank you guys for showing a lot of love on my previous travel story from Kausani. This place is oddly beautiful. Isn’t it? It has been more than a month since I visited Kausani, and still going through my picture gallery gives me an illusion of reliving this place. While flipping through my pictures I realized that I have totally forgotten to share some more pictures we clicked in Kausani on our last day.
Last day in Kausani was all about being laid back and roaming in the naturally kept premises of the resort we stayed in. I rather navigated a bit in order to discover something good to buy as a souvenir from Kausani. Ended up picking some hand crafted love curated by the locals of the area. I bought a handmade apricot scrub, a soap and an essential oil from a local shop owned by an NGO. I’m using them for now and really loving them for their natural ingredients and subtle fragrance.
We were using our cell phones to take pictures, and it was clearly not doing justice with how beautiful this place was. I completely missed my camera. Though I wanted to get some more pictures clicked and capture the mountains, oak trees, twisted roads and moreover the raw beauty of this place a little more. I tried coordinating my outfit with that of the sunkissed backdrops. But that was just an attempt, trust me. *Long sigh*. Haha! But I loved the way it turned out to be.
Every place has its own story to be told which varies on the different notes, probably depending on a storyteller. I have my own version. The version which is a little mixture of my unkempt dreams and reality. Dreams of traveling to the mighty Himalayas and the reality of the magnificent mountains singing a saga of their own journey. When I come to describe mountains, words fall shorter. I don’t know why. But there is something with them. Something really connecting. A silence which echoes, a beauty in all its flaws and imperfections and a life with some true reflections. Oh! It’s all getting deep though I don’t intend it. But I think sometimes all we need to do is to take a pause and just listen.
My life has turned into a mess of late but a beautiful one so I’m also learning to appreciate imperfect things even more! Lying somewhere between insanity and zen – Life is beautiful.
Sharing some imperfect pictures with you all 🙂
Until next time!
